The Library on 20th Street Branch
The Library on 20th Street opened its doors on July 28, 2009 and celebrated its Grand Opening on August 29, 2009. It is located in the Monarch Yards Housing complex at the site of the Station 20 West Centre. The suggestion for the name of the new branch was submitted by Lonetta Hjermenrude as part of a call for public input by the Library Board. The Library on 20th Street serves the communities of Riversdale, Pleasant Hill, King George, Westmount and Holiday Park.
The Library on 20th Street is wheelchair accessible and has a bookdrop open 24 hours a day.

As part of an innovative and collaborative community project, The Library on 20th Street is happy to serve anyone who comes seeking help. We have many computers terminals available for public use and wifi is provided free of charge. We have great materials for all ages, and many knowledgable staff on hand to help you sign up for a library card or find just what you are looking for.

Computers & Wireless Internet
Use one of our one-hour, bookable computer stations to access the Internet. Documents cannot be save to the desktop computers. Book a computer up to three days in advance to secure your time. Printing fees may apply.
Bring your own laptop or mobile device to use our free wireless Internet service throughout the branch.
Kids can try out one of our dedicated children's educational computers.
Alice Turner branch currently has black and white photocopying and printing available from our public computers. Scanning to a USB drive is available from the photocopier. We unfortunately do not offer faxing at this location.
