Effective Tue, Sep 7, face masks will be required at all locations. All locations are open for limited in-person services following the Reopen Plan.

The health and safety of our patrons and employees has been our priority since we closed library locations due to COVID-19. As we begin to reopen library facilities, our focus remains on the safety of the community.

Wearing a mask is a simple step to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Beginning August 25, it is mandatory for patrons over nine years old to wear masks within libraries.

We know there are differing opinions about masks. However, due to the evidence demonstrating the effectiveness of masks, we are following the advice and direction of public health officials in Saskatchewan and around the world.

Patrons who are unwilling to comply will not be allowed entry to Saskatoon Public Library facilities. To accommodate patrons unable to wear a mask, we provide services such as contactless holds pickup and print or scan pick up from outside the library. We also offer assistance via our website through email and chat, and are available by telephone.

Patrons who remove their masks once in the library will be asked to leave.

We thank you for your contribution to keeping the community healthy.
