The original Mayfair Branch Library was established in 1952 in the basement of the Mayfair Community Hall, at the corner of 33rd St. W. and Avenue F. By 1989, the building was no longer suitable for the library andthe basement location presented accessibility problems. Mayfair Branch was reopened in 1991 on the same site, after a one-year break in service during construction.
The Mayfair Branch is wheelchair accessible.
