If you would like to designate the Library as the charity of choice in honour of a loved one, please reach out to us at 306.986.3110 or [email protected].

If you’d like to make a difference for your Library and benefit from tax savings, a gift of securities might be a good option for you. Donating publicly traded securities allows you to support the library while eliminating the capital gains tax on appreciated stocks. The Library uses CanadaHelps for securities donations. SPL recommends that you consult with your financial or tax advisor to help you make the best choice for your particular situation.

Choosing to leave a gift to Saskatoon Public Library in your will is an opportunity for you to make a lasting contribution to your community. It also allows you to create a deeply meaningful legacy to be shared by the people of Saskatoon for generations to come.

Will gifts are by far the most common form of legacy gifts. By naming Saskatoon Public Library as a beneficiary in your will, you can provide for your loved ones and help the library prosper.

Your will gift (bequest) can be set up to leave a particular sum of money, a specific asset such as property, or a certain percentage of your estate. Please view/download this document for more information on suggested will language for making a gift to SPL.

We recommend that you discuss this information with your lawyer. They may also ask for the following information:
