Online Card Registration

Register online for a temporary card number. Once you complete the registration, we’ll email you a temporary library card number (barcode) that you can use immediately. It is valid for thirty days, allowing you to place holds using the online catalogue or through the SILS app. Before your temporary card expires, please visit any Saskatoon library location with valid identification and proof of address to receive your permanent library card.

For kids 13 years old and under, a Parent or Guardian is required to give permission to register for a library card. Please enter your name in the “Parent’/Guardian” field to give your permission for your child to have a library card.

Teens 14 and older can use the signature of a parent or guardian as a form of identification, but an adult signature is not required. We also accept student cards, driver’s license, SGI issued photo ID and passports as proof of identity.
